We Have This Hope

As we look at the world today, the news is filled with the pandemic, sickness, pain, economic problems, natural disasters and unprecedented events around the world. It is indeed very easy to lose sight and lose all hope.

'Where can we find hope? Who can we trust?' is the cry of the world. Many places their hope in their financial savings in the bank, but amidst economic problems they are realizing how easy it is to lose all within a day. Many others place their hope in the government, but are realizing that at the end of the day when world governments are overwhelmed with global catastrophes, the government can't solve all our problems.

An ancient book of Psalm tells us in chapter 20 verse 7: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God."

The word of God, the Bible, assures us that we can trust in the Lord no matter what happens in this world. We can place our hope in Him, because He not only is our creator but also redeemer. He has loved us with an everlasting love and has the plan for each individual.

Ultimately, we can place our hope in the promise that Jesus gave us in Revelation 22:12 "Behold, I'm quickly." We have this hope that Jesus is coming again soon to take His children home to a place where there will no longer be pain, sickness, diseases, viruses, pandemic, economic turmoil, governmental problems or any heartache.

Let's remind ourselves today that we have this hope, hope in the coming of the Lord.
